Our Mission
Family Worship Center is a community of Spirit-filled believers committed to God’s purpose of changing lives by worshiping God, leading others to Jesus and building a unified team to care for all at every stage of life
OUR VISION: #WELOVEWELEARNWELEAD — Our Vision at Family Worship Center is fulfilled as we focus on five primary objectives:
PEOPLE GETTING SAVED EVERY SERVICE
The book of Acts tells us that “…the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). In our community of Cairo, Georgia, there is the potential for having someone saved at every service. This vision will become a reality as every member becomes an evangelist.
A MULTI-CULTURAL CHURCH FILLED WITH DIVERSITY
Our church should be a reflection of our community. One should be able to look at our congregation and see what the community looks like. This vision will become a reality as we “go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”
1,000 PEOPLE COMMITTED TO DISCIPLESHIP
We live in a community of 25,000 people. Our research tells us that less than 5,000 of these people attend church on any given Sunday. This vision will become a reality as we reach and teach at least 1,000 people and connect them to the process of becoming mature disciples of Jesus Christ.
EVERY MEMBER INVOLVED IN MINISTRY
There is a place of ministry for everyone in the body of Christ. Every believer, to be a good steward of the grace of God, should find the place God has for them and be found faithful and fruitful in that place. This vision will become a reality as we train, equip, provide opportunities, and release every member to do ministry.
A MODEL CHURCH FOR OTHERS TO FOLLOW
Because of our location in a rural culture, we are learning that ministry here is much different than that of a metropolitan culture. However, there is a great rural harvest in our nation that is going unreached. This vision will become a reality as we develop ministries, methods and materials that are effective in rural areas and provide teaching, training and resources to other congregations through CDs/DVDs, books, conferences, seminars, and workshops in order to assist other congregations in reaching the harvest in other rural areas.
